Experience Lima 2025: Over 40 Coffee Shops Compete in the 4th Edition of Lima’s Most Important Coffee Scene Contest
Record Participation: 17 Districts Compete as Excellence in Coffee Preparation Expands the Market
After a three-year pause, the Peruvian Chamber of Coffee and Cocoa announces that registrations for the 4th edition of Experience Lima have successfully concluded. In total, 41 coffee shops across 17 districts will take part in this competition that, since 2018, has become the main platform recognizing the best coffee experiences in Lima.
The main highlight of this edition is the diversity of districts with a strong coffee presence. The chart shows the expansion and decentralization of coffee culture in Metropolitan Lima. To the traditional commercial circuit made up of San Isidro, Miraflores, and Barranco, a new growth zone joins in districts such as Jesús María, Pueblo Libre, and Magdalena, where specialty coffee shops have become a prominent option.
A third group is concentrated in residential districts such as Surco, San Borja, and Surquillo, where the supply of specialty coffee has grown significantly. Likewise, Lima’s northern cone and Callao show an expanding hub, with coffee shops embracing the coffee and complement concept, bringing this experience closer to new audiences.
Finally, southern Lima presents an emerging offer with great development potential, and—as in previous editions—San Juan de Lurigancho maintains its presence within the city’s coffee map.
The evaluations will take place throughout October, when a multidisciplinary jury will visit participating coffee shops to assess their overall proposal: cup quality, innovation, service, gastronomic offer, and cultural impact within their communities.
A platform that promotes coffee culture
Since its creation, Experience Lima has sought to promote the consumption of specialty coffee, strengthen national coffee identity, and recognize those who make this chain possible: baristas, roasters, entrepreneurs, producers, and the entire urban coffee ecosystem. In its previous editions, the competition has awarded coffee shops that are now benchmarks of quality and innovation, inspiring new generations of entrepreneurs.

With the participation of 41 coffee shops, this edition promises to be the most diverse and representative yet, consolidating Experience Lima as the platform that celebrates and showcases coffee talent across every corner of the city.
