Project

Alliance for Sustainable and Competitive Coffee

It is an initiative to improve the sustainability of production systems, institutions and governance in the coffee chain, as well as the recognition of Peruvian coffee in the local and international market.

1. Get to know the project

Through the project "Alliance for sustainable and competitive coffee" it seeks to generate changes. The sustainability of agroforestry systems, the productive models of organizations adapting resources to the territory in which they are located, training and certifying our field technicians, as well as officials and service providers in this chain. All this for the incorporation of intelligent climatic concepts and the intervention of technology in this great process.

The "Alliance for sustainable and competitive coffee" project seeks to consolidate the change processes initiated by the National Coffee Board and the Peruvian Chamber of Coffee and Cocoa in the first phase of SeCompetitivo. On the one hand, sustainable production models are resumed, promoting agroforestry systems, with low emissions and high productivity, on the other, the productive models of organizations are strengthened through the use of improved seedlings adapted to the territory and accompanied by the certification of skills and the strengthening of the capacities of field technicians, officials and service providers to the chain, for the incorporation of climate-smart agriculture concepts and the use of technological instruments for this purpose.
